
A 'Scientific Exploration and Science-Math Exhibition-2083' festival is set to be organized in Diktel from Baisakh 3 to 7.
The festival is being jointly organized by the Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality, Shubham Foundation, and Himalayan Secondary School, Solma, with financial support from the Ministry of Social Development, Koshi Province Government.
Surya Bahadur Rai, coordinator of the festival organizing committee and executive director of Shubham Foundation, stated that the event is being organized with the aim of fostering interest in science and technology among students and the younger generation to produce future scientists.
“This technology-friendly and innovation-oriented festival is being organized for the first time in the district. The objective is to encourage local innovation by increasing interest in science and technology among the youth and exploring the uses and possibilities of AI,” he said. “The festival will feature science projects prepared by students, AI-based model presentations, and interactive stalls. We expect the five-day festival to develop creative thinking in students and contribute significantly to the expansion of knowledge and skills related to science and technology in rural areas.”
It has been announced that the schools and students securing first, second, and third positions in the festival's project competition will be awarded cash prizes of 20,000, 10,000, and 5,000 rupees, respectively. The organizers stated that the winner of the Robo Car Race will receive 15,000 rupees, while the second and third place winners will receive 10,000 and 5,000 rupees, respectively.
Festival coordinator Rai informed that 5,000 rupees each will be awarded under the People's Choice Award and Most Practical Innovation Award categories.
