Kathmandu Model Secondary School (KMC), Lalitpur is hosting a panel discussion on "Charms and Challenges of Legal Careers." 

All students with an interest in legal education are welcome to participate in the program. This event will provide participants the opportunity to have their queries about legal careers clarified by professionals. The program will take the shape of a panel discussion. Speakers on the panel will include distinguished legal figures who will address the questions regarding pursuing a career in the legal field.

The event's goal is to reach out to a variety of groups, including students planning to enroll in Grade XI, students who are unsure about pursuing a legal career, and existing law students, among others.

Major Objectives of the Program

Introduction of the Distinguished Panelists

Hon. Judge, Sapana Pradhan Malla 

The honorable Mrs. Sapana Pradhan Malla is a judge at the Supreme Court of Nepal. She was a key figure in some landmark verdicts on progressive women's rights. She was a member of the influential International Commission on Human Rights and Women's Rights, and she fought for these rights on many levels. From 2065 through 2069 B.S., she was a member of the Constituent Assembly.

Prof. Geeta Pathak Sangraula 

Prof. Geeta Pathak Sangraula is a professor of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law at Kathmandu School of Law & Senior Advocate at Supreme Court of Nepal. She has three decades of successful law practice as a defense and legal aid lawyer. She has worked as a Chief Legal Advisor for the Social Welfare Council and as a member of the Governing Council of the National Judicial Academy.

Dr. Bhimarjun Acharya

Dr. Bhimarjun Acharya is a well-known Nepalese constitutional specialist. With extensive experience in Nepalese law and as an advocate of the Nepalese Supreme Court, his areas of expertise are mostly in the constitution, business, and criminal law. Dr. Acharya's Ph.D. dissertation was titled "The System of Judicial Review." His impact on the legal scene has been significant, as evidenced by his several writings in the field. Dr. Acharya is affiliated with Alliance Law Firm and the Founding President of the Constitutional Lawyers Forum. Aside from that, he is a lyricist, composer, and singer.
