Department of Biotechnology, Kathmandu University, announces the first-ever national-level conference on biotechnology, the National Biotechnology Conference 2023. This widely anticipated conference is set to take place at Kathmandu University.
The primary objective of the conference is to explore the potential benefits and obstacles of biotechnology in Nepal by facilitating collaboration between academic and industrial experts from various fields. The keynote address will be delivered by Hon’ble Mr. Madhav Prasad Regmi, the chairman of the Public Service Commission, who has been invited as the Chief Guest. Dr. Maxine Caws, a tuberculosis research veteran with extensive experience and a track record of publishing several scientific works and book chapters, has also been invited to share her knowledge and insights, adding immense value to the conference. Additionally, eleven notable invited speakers and four plenary speakers will provide insights and presentations. Over 100 participants, including national and international attendees, are expected to attend the conference, which will also feature engaging oral and poster presentations from the participants.
