Masters' Dissertation Meet 2024 | TUIoST

Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology, is organizing the Masters' Dissertation Meet 2024, a two-day event scheduled for 26-27 September 2024 (10-11 Ashoj 2081) at the University Campus in Kirtipur. This event will showcase the research work of M.Sc. students across various scientific disciplines, featuring poster presentations and a few oral presentations. The event aims to enhance the quality of research and underscore the importance of establishing a Central S&T Lab at the university.

Objectives

  1. Provide a platform for students to present their research findings and engage in interdisciplinary discussions.
  2. Facilitate networking opportunities with Ph.D. students, experts, and professionals.
  3. Highlight the importance of a Central S&T Lab facility at TU.

Poster Presentation: The event's main attraction will be the poster presentation of M.Sc. dissertations. Participants are encouraged to present their hypotheses, research gaps, preliminary results, and challenges.

Submission Guidelines for Abstracts and Posters

  • Abstracts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format, using Times New Roman font.
  • Posters should adhere to specific size and font guidelines to ensure readability.
  • Abstracts and posters should be submitted to surendra.gautam@iost.tu.edu.np.

Keynote/Plenary/Special Talks: The event will feature talks focusing on disciplinary achievements at Tribhuvan University.

Publications: An abstract book and a booklet listing masters' dissertations across disciplines will be published.

Best Poster Award: Awards will be presented in four categories: Biological Science, Physical Science, Mathematical Science, and Interdisciplinary areas.
