Map My Life-The Career Mela
Edushala is organizing one-day event named "Map My Life- The Career Mela" which is going to be held on 25th June 2016 in Thames International College. This workshop is designed for the bachelor and masters level students which is a career workshop where we will provide soft skills training, resume writing etc.
About the program
Career building seminars and workshops in the Nepali market frequently take the form of lecture-based seminars where individuals of status – such as business or government leaders – present a generalized topic to beneficiaries. Although this format has advantages in exposing students to senior leaders and their experience, it is limited in its practical approach. Edushala has trained more than 2500 students and collected feedback in its normal business operation showing that participants of lecture-based seminars frequently desire more time dedicated to individual interaction with these senior leaders; that time dedicated to question and answer is generally more valuable than time dedicated to the lecture; and that a strong preference exists for interactive opportunities where participants can exercise and develop a skill. Given this experience, Edushala has de-emphasized lecture-based seminars, instead placing PBL prominently at the center of Map My Life-The Career Mela.
Edushala has designed Map My Life-The Career Mela to assist students map their career. MML is intended as a tie-in follow up program for academic education to capitalize on the classroom skills to investigate employment and educational opportunities and develop practical career skills.

- Learning: To help participants learn skills mandatory for their career.
- Exploring: To let participants be informed about requirements for and possibilities of management related career options.
- Networking: To help students build networks with career experts and organizations.
