KUSOM to organize National Level Stock Pitching Competition 2025

Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) announces a call for participation for the National Level Stock Pitching Competition 2025, organized by the KUSOM Finance Club. This competition is an opportunity for students across Nepal to demonstrate their financial acumen, analytical capabilities, and presentation skills by pitching investment ideas based on real-world stock market data.

The competition is structured in three phases, beginning with regional/provincial rounds. Teams from each province, including the Kathmandu Valley, will compete locally, and the winning team from each province will qualify for the National Final, to be held in Kathmandu.

The objective of the competition is to evaluate a publicly listed company on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) and make a persuasive investment recommendation. Participants are expected to conduct a comprehensive analysis, which may include, but is not limited to:

Fundamental and Technical Analysis
Macroeconomic Evaluation
Sentiment Analysis
Valuation Techniques

Each team will be allocated 10 minutes for their stock pitch presentation, followed by a 5-minute Question and Answer session with the judging panel.

In line with our mission to enhance financial knowledge among students, the KUSOM Finance Club will also be conducting a Financial Literacy Program as part of this event. This session will provide participants with essential insights into the functioning of capital markets, investment principles, and stock analysis methodologies. It is especially designed to empower first-time participants and aspiring investors with the foundational tools to actively engage in the stock market.

This educational component ensures that all attendees benefit from the competition, regardless of whether they win, by gaining practical and applicable knowledge of finance and investments.

Venue: KUSOM Main Hall, Balkumari, Lalitpur (For the Provincial Level of Kathmandu)
Event Date: 16th June 2025
Deadline for Registration: 8th June 2025 (11:59 PM)
Team Composition: 1 to 4 students (must be enrolled in a recognized college or university)
Registration Fee: NPR 1500 per team (Non-refundable)

Awards and Recognition:

Prize Pool: NPR 100,000 worth of awards
Certificates: All participants in the national round will receive certificates of participation
Provincial Winners will also win certain cash prizes and gift prizes.

Please note that once a team submits the registration form, it will not be allowed to withdraw from the competition under any circumstances.

Note: There is no limit to the number of teams that can participate from a single institution or college. The National Final of the competition is scheduled to take place on June 25, 2025. The Event Date and Venue for the National Finals will be announced later and will be communicated to all the participants.
