
Kathmandu Model College (KMC), Bagbazar, through its KMC TechVerse Club, is organizing HONOR Presents KMC HackVerse 2026, Nepal’s first-ever national-level Hackathon exclusively dedicated to Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) students. BCA students from various colleges across Nepal are participating in this Hackathon, which serves as a national stage for fostering innovation, teamwork, and technical mastery.
Mr. Prince Karna, the Head of EMIS and IT at Kathmandu Model College (KMC), notes that more than ten expert mentors are available to guide participants throughout the 48-hour event. Additionally, organizing committee member Mr. Bidhan Thapa highlights the prize money. The event serves as a nationwide stage for fostering innovation, collaboration, and technical mastery among the BCA student community.
Mr. Dhurba Prasad Timalsina, Head of IQAC, expresses his expectation that this inaugural BCA-specific national hackathon advances innovation, technical expertise, and a collaborative spirit. College Chief Surendra Subedi emphasizes that the event provides a vital opportunity for students to engage with industry experts, demonstrate their creative problem-solving skills, and showcase their talents on a national level. Furthermore, KMC TechVerse Club President Ms. Samira Shrestha, a 7th-semester BCA student, reports that although over 50 teams apply, only 15 are selected after evaluating their project proposals.
