The National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB) is the principal national institution charged with the responsibility of prevention and control of drug abuse in Sri Lanka, coordinating all related agencies in terms of the NDDCB Act No. 11 of 1984 and further being the National focal point in terms of the International drug control treaties for which Sri Lanka is a signatory and Sri Lanka National Policy for Prevention and Control of Drugs of Abuse, NDDCB is playing an integral part of the drug control mechanism in order to reduce supply and use of illicit drugs to the barest minimum possible and thereby to bring about a drug-free Sri Lanka.

The National Dangerous Drugs Control Board has planned to conduct an International Symposium on Drug-Related Studies 2022 which will be held from 1st and 2nd December 2022 in Colombo, Sri Lanka to facilitate the exchange of information among professionals in the fields of medical, scientific, law, justice, social sciences, education, treatment and rehabilitation and other related services on drug supply control and demand reduction.
