Eleventh national general convention of PABSON

The 11th national general convention of Private and Boarding Schools Organization of Nepal (PABSON) is taking place on February 18.

The slogan of the two-day general convention to be held at GEMS in Dhapakhel, Lalitpur is: 'Peace and Creation-Basis of Education; Equal Rights for All in Attaining Quality Education'.

Major agendas to be discussed during the general convention include

1. declaration of private school education act,
2. enforcement of declaration of schools as peace zone,
3. separate concept regarding registration of private schools under company act, and
4. renewal of schools for the last time, stated a press release issued by PABSON.

At a press conference organized here on Tuesday to make public the decision, PABSON Chairperson Rajesh Khadka stressed the need to incorporate private schools under the broader education act and expressed grief for the non-implementation of declaration of school as peace zone.

As many as 1,700 representatives from 68 districts would take part in the general convention.
