MD Ayurveda (Kaya Chikitsa) is offered in Ayurved Campus, Kirtipur. It is a 3 years program.

Kaya Chikitsa is one of the important branches of Ayurveda. This branch deals with various physical and psychological diseases like Fever, Rakta-pitta, Shotha, Prameha, etc. This Department is imparting Under Graduate and Post Graduate Teaching and Training in theory as well as practical and Research on various diseases through Ayurvedic principles of treatment and therapy such as Panchakarma, Rasayana, Vajikarana etc.

Eligibility

Eligibility

  • BAMS or equivalent from institutions recognized by government of Nepal
  • Registered in Nepal Ayurveda Council 
  • Registered in the respective medical council of the applicant's own country for foreign candidates 
  • One year working experience at a government-recognized institutions
  • Candidate should score a minimum of 50% (Pass Marks) in the Entrance Examinations conducted by Medical Education Commission for being eligible to be on the merit list

Exam Format

  • Single best response type with Multiple choice questions
  • Four options (A, B, C, D)
  • No. of questions - 200
  • Recall: Understanding: Application – 30:50:20
  • Duration –3 hours including one time voluntary toilet break
