National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) has introduced DM in Endocrinology program from 2021 in Nepal.

The goals of DM in Endocrinology programs are:

  1. Provide a comprehensive knowledge base to prepare the trainee to care for patients suffering from endocrine and metabolic diseases.
  2. To ensure exposure to a wide variety of patients suffering from diverse endocrine problems to give the candidate experience in diagnosing and treating patients suffering from disease in all areas of endocrinology.
  3. Provide a diverse experience through rotations in areas related to diagnostic procedures and imaging modalities used in endocrinology.
  4. Prepare the trainee in the art of interacting with patients, patient education and counselling.

Number of seats in DM Endocrinology at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) for the academic year 2077/78 is one (1).

 

Eligibility

MD Internal Medicine or equivalent

Specialty Registration in Medical Council of the respective country.

Admission Criteria

Examination Format 

  1. Question type: Single best response type of multiple-choice questions
  2. Option: Four options (A, B, C, D) 
  3. Number of questions: 200 (no negative marking) 
  4. Full marks: 200 
  5. Pass Marks: 100 
  6. Duration: 3 hours
