List of Animal Science Course in Nepal

Veterinary Science is the science that deals with the causes, identification (diagnosis), treatment and healing of the different sort of diseases in birds and animals. The topic generally includes the learning of animal physiology and garnering ideas for treating, curing as well as preventing diseases among animals. The basic principles of veterinary science are similar to that of medical science. On other hand, animal husbandry is concerned with the study of breeding, rearing and caring of farm animals.

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & A.H.) is a program run by Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, Tribhuvan University (TU). The BVSc & A.H. is a 5 year program spreading over 10 semesters. The total course is of 221 credit hours. Up to ninth semester, students are given comprehensive knowledge of theoretical, practical and technical aspects of veterinary clinical sciences, animal breeding, livestock production, management etc. In the10th semester, to make student fully acquainted with real life experience, there is a compulsory provision of Internship.
