The Boutique Training Program is meticulously designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the boutique industry, particularly within retail operations. This diploma program blends theoretical understanding with practical insights, preparing students for various roles in boutique management.

Basic Boutique Course

The Basic Boutique Course spans three months and offers a comprehensive introduction to pattern making. The curriculum covers essential topics such as pattern making tools, basic pattern concepts, including grainline and patternmaking terminology, and the fundamentals of measurements, including dress forms and model measurement. Students will delve into tailoring techniques and gain insights into sewing machines, their parts, and their functions.

The course emphasizes constructing various design details, including pleats, pockets, tucks, plackets, facings, piping, zippers, and more. Students learn to draft a basic pattern set, comprising the bodice block, sleeves, and skirt. The curriculum further explores variations in kurta, sleeves, skirt, circular lehenga, blouse, and Chaubandi Cholo.

Additionally, students are introduced to different hand stitches and machine stitches such as basting, hemming, back stitch, blanket stitch, running stitch, French seam, lapped seam, top stitch, and Hong Kong stitch. Throughout the program, participants are guided by industry experts, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the craft and preparing them for a successful journey in fashion design.

Advanced Boutique Course

The Advanced Boutique Course lasts six months and is designed to elevate students' skills in the art of fashion design. The program encompasses a detailed exploration of patternmaking through drafting and tailoring techniques and an in-depth introduction to sewing machines. Students learn both basic machine stitches and hand stitches.

The curriculum strongly emphasizes constructing intricate design details, including pleats, pockets, tucks, plackets, zippers, piping, and facings. Participants delve into collar variations, such as stand collars and regular shirt collars, mastering the nuances of each.

Students progress to drafting basic pattern sets for the bodice block, basic sleeves, and basic skirt. The course then delves into a variety of garment variations, such as kurta variations (basic kurta, princess kurta, Punjabi salwar), sleeves variations, pencil skirts, panel petticoats, princess cut blouses, one tucks blouse, katori blouse, ladies' pant, panel lehenga with can-can, Chaubandi Cholo, corset, daura suruwal, evening gown, and women's coat.

Throughout the program, participants gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge under the guidance of industry experts. The Advanced Boutique Course is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of advanced design techniques, preparing students for a successful and creative career in the fashion industry.
