The Bachelor of Arts in Dance is a four-year course Tribhuvan University offers under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. It was implemented in the academic year 2076/077. According to the curriculum, students can study Nepali Folk Dance, Nepali Classical Dance (Charya), and Indian Classical Dance.
Objective
- Students studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Dance can gain theoretical and practical knowledge about Nepali folk dance, Nepali classical dance (Charya), and Indian classical dance (Bharatanatyam or Kathak) and rhythms, as well as courses related to these dances.
- Students can gain knowledge about national and international level dance subjects and the biographies of gurus and guruvargas who contributed to rhythm, percussion instruments, and songs related to the subject.
- Graduate-level students can learn the popular dances of Nepal's Himalayan, hilly, valley, and Terai regions.
- Students who are studying the subject can present new dances.
- Students can acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about dance subjects and songs, rhythms, and costumes related to dance.
- Studying dance subjects at the graduate level will make it easier to get a higher education in dance-related fields.
- The ability to play the role of judge in cultural programs related to dance will be enhanced, and the ability to cooperate in various educational programs up to elementary level, elementary level, and higher secondary level will be enhanced.
- Knowledge related to dance, such as creating a dance and playing the role of a director, as well as the ability to perform other field work, group work, private projects, class presentations, etc.

Curricular Structure
Students are required to take Compulsory English in the first and the third years and Compulsory Nepali in the second year. University offers Alternative English in the second year for International students as an alternative to Compulsory Nepali.
