BA in Hindi is four year course introduced by Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science. Students who choose Hindi as an optional subject at the graduation level under the Faculty of Humanities and Language Studies will study two papers each year. Each paper is worth 100 marks, with 40 marks being the passing grade.
For each paper from the first to the seventh, there will be a written examination worth 70 marks. The remaining 30 marks will be allocated to internal assessment, based on the criteria provided below. The format of the questions for each paper is specified under the respective paper's guidelines.
In the third year, there is an optional subject paper, offering two options labeled 'A' and 'B'. Students must select one of these options. Thus, over the course of four years, students will be examined for a total of 800 marks.
Eligibility
Students are required to have completed their Intermediate or equivalent qualifications in any discipline with good marks.
Curricular Structure
Students are required to take Compulsory English in the first and the third years and Compulsory Nepali in the second year. University offers Alternative English in the second year for International students as an alternative to Compulsory Nepali.
