The training program based on this course enables trainers to demonstrate and teach the skills and knowledge outlined in the curriculum, while also providing trainees with ample opportunities to practice. In this training program, trainees will get the opportunity to use the necessary tools, equipment, and materials to learn the knowledge and skills included in the curriculum, and to practice and learn those skills.
Upon completing this training program, trainees will be equipped with the skills to apply massage techniques for the treatment of common health problems and deliver services that ensure client satisfaction. They will be able to generate income through massage services, thereby improving their standard of living. Additionally, the training fosters entrepreneurial development, enabling participants to establish and manage their own businesses. Through the training, trainees can create opportunities for both self-employment and employment, ultimately contributing to the reduction of unemployment and poverty in the community.
Training Duration
- 740 hours (three months). Out of this, 420 hours will be provided at the training center, and the remaining 320 hours will be spent on-the-job training (OJT).
Target Group
- Nepali citizens who have passed at least Class 8.
- Individuals aged 18 years or above who are interested in this profession.
Number of Trainees
- Maximum 20 people.
Medium of Instruction
- Both Nepali or English.
Trainee Attendance
- 80 percent attendance is required in theoretical classes.
- 10 percent attendance is required in practical classes.

Eligibility
Entry Requirements
- Individuals who have passed at least Class 8 and are interested in this profession.
- Individuals who are at least 18 years old.
- Individuals who have passed the entrance examination conducted.
Monitoring Suggestions
For evaluating the success of this program and collecting necessary feedback to refine the curriculum in the future, the following suggestions are made for monitoring:
- First monitoring - 6 months after the completion of the training program.
- Second monitoring - 6 months after the completion of the first monitoring.
- Monitoring cycle - Every 1 year after the completion of the second monitoring, for up to 5 years.
Certificate
Trainees who successfully complete the training according to this curriculum will be awarded an Assistant Massage Therapist certificate by the concerned training institute.
