The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology & Anthropology, Mass Communication, and Social Work (BA/BASW) is a new three-year program at T.U.’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. This degree is all about giving you the latest knowledge and skills in these important areas. The goal of the BA/BSW degree is to prepare you to understand and work in diverse fields like social justice, community building, and media. The students get hands-on training in fieldwork and data analysis, helping you become a strong advocate for human rights.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for studying BA/BSW at RC, Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: Completion of +2 (or equivalent) in any stream, such as Science, Commerce, or Humanities.
  • Minimum Marks: Students have at least a ‘D+’ Grade in all subjects from a recognized board
  • Entrance Exam: Students must pass the entrance exam conducted by the College.

Requirements

  • Medium of Instruction and admission to the program shall be English.

  • Entry-level in BA/BASW is intermediate level or higher, or secondary level or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized institution with at least a pass division.

  • Students must secure a minimum of 35% in the board examination to qualify for the Master's level.

  • Students’ academic performance is evaluated based on an Internal of 20% for Sociology, 30% for Mass Communication, and 40 % for Social Work major subjects taken by the College, and an External of 80%, 70% and 60% taken by the concerned Dean’s Office
