The study of B.Ed. was started to improve teaching learning activities in Nepal. In the past, it was of two years full-time course and also followed by one year BED course for those who had completed Bachelor or Masters Level.
At present education, there is the globalization of higher education. Furthermore, to meet the global trends, B.Ed. the program was changed into three years system in 1996. In recent years, the role of teachers has been of great importance and the system has to follow modern global trends. Due to this reason, B.Ed. the program has been applied of 4 years system to make homogenization with global trends. This system meets the need of equivalence of the countries like Australia, Canada, the USA, etc. So, if Nepalese students have taken this four-year program of B.Ed. Level, they do not have to face problems of equivalence with the systems of western countries. Moreover, this course is in the demand of globalized higher education. In addition, in many countries, recruitment in teaching is not possible without having B.Ed. degree. So, students do not have to hesitate to get admission in this 4 years B.Ed. program because it is directly linked to further career in the job market.

JMC has maintained a high quality of education since its establishment in 2047. The products of JMC have got placed in different fields in Nepal as well as abroad. In JMC, students find theoretical aspects merged with the practical process. Students find a hot water system for drinking water in every flat. There is library management with a well-furnished reading room. JMC has managed a very neat clean canteen where tea and snacks are provided in a highly hygienic environment. Moreover, in JMC, rooms and campus yards are swept and cleaned regularly. Furthermore, JMC has managed neat clean bathrooms which are separate for boys and girls in every flat and there is a continuous flow of water. As a whole, JMC has managed a good environment in favor of its stakeholders.
JMC has made the management of highly qualified and experienced teaching faculties so that students find a kind of real difference here than in other educational institutions. The teaching faculties are laborious and highly supportive of students. At present JMC has focused on managing research-oriented teaching staff having higher qualifications such as M.Phil & Ph.D. In JMC, students find teaching systems merged with research due to highly qualified teaching staff.

Faculty of Education (FoE), TU, is going to introduce a four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program with two specialization subject areas (specialization major and specialization minor subject) in 2072 BS instead of offering a single specialization area like in three-year B.Ed. There are core subjects, major subjects, and minor subjects to select and study at the BEd level.
Accordingly, students of the four-year BEd. program will have to study one subject area as a specialization major and the next as a specialization minor area selecting from among Nepali Education, English Education, Mathematics Education, Health and Physical Education, and Population Education. Students may also study one of the courses from among Health Education, Physical Education, vocational education, Primary Education, Early Childhood Development Education, Non-formal Education, and Education Management as a specialization minor.
Four-year B.Ed. with annual examination system is a professional as well as an academic programme designed for preparing competent teachers who can teach two subjects at the secondary level.
The students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations securing minimum ‘C+’ grades in all subjects of Grade 11 and 12 are eligible to enroll in the B.Ed program of Tribhuvan University.

Students with Higher Secondary Education Examination Pass Certificate (HSEEPC, hereafter only NEB) or Proficiency Certificate Level of Tribhuvan University (PCL) or equivalent to NEB/grade 12 pass are eligible for admission in the B.Ed program. In addition, they need other requirements for admission in different major subject specialization areas which are as follows:
Except for science education minor (Biology), minor subject areas are open for all students irrespective of their previous study areas in Grade 11 and 12 or PCL. Only those students who are majoring in physical science can select a biology minor. Students are required to select minor subject areas that should be different from their major subject areas.
Each student must pass 22 courses to have a certificate of Four-Year B.Ed. These courses are divided into four major groups ˗ group ‘A’ with Communication Skills; group ‘B’ with Professional Cores Areas; group ‘C’ with Specialization Major Courses and group ‘D’ with Specialization Minor Courses. Group ‘E’ includes Teaching Practice/Practicum.
