ABOUT

Janaki College for Professional Studies (JCPS College) is a member of the Lord Buddha Education Foundation Group of Institutions and was established to provide skills-based education at Janakpur Dham, Nepal. Under the affiliation of Kathmandu University, JCPS offers a Bachelor of Technical Education in Information Technology (B.Tech Ed- IT) course. With the help of well qualified, experienced faculty to take care of education, JCPS aims at creating highly trained technical workforce in the field of technical duction and IT. The partnership between Kathmandu University and JCPS is based on the PPP model. JCPS and KU have partnered to impart good educational opportunities in the field of Information Technology.

JCPS offers some of the very best infrastructure and facilities on campus. Currently, JCPS will use the premises of Akshar Vidya Mandir which is a wholly self-contained campus comprising of everything that students on campus could require.

To deliver KU’s programs, a range of different teaching methods and situations – lectures, problem-based tutorials, individual assignments, practical laboratory sessions, class tests, group-based activities, project work, virtual learning environments, seminars, workshops (skills-based) etc. have been utilized to best deliver the learning outcomes of the modules. JCPS, the approach is technology driven, student centric and the teaching pedagogies will aligned with IR 4.0 and Education 4.0 principles.

Salient Features

  • All the Classrooms are equipped with SMART interactive boards and multimedia projectors. 
  • A campus-wide wireless computing network is in place that allows faculty, staff and students to log on to the Internet at any point in time.
  • Computer labs are equipped with the latest computers and high-speed internet connections.  
  • A standby power generator is provided on the campus to take care of the occasional power shut down due to maintenance.

Admission Guidelines

  • Admission procedure consists of an entrance examination conducted by Kathmandu University;
  • To be eligibile to appear in entrance examination minimum D+ grade in each subject of Grade 12 with a CGPA 1.8 OR a minimum score of second division marks in 10+2, PCL, or equivalent in relevant discipline is required;
  • Selected candidates will be called back for an interview conducted by Kathmandu University.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Three (3) Students will be given upto 100% Scholarship in Tuition Fee.

The scholarships will be awarded to study B.Tech. Ed-IT at Janaki College for Professional Studies.

This scheme will benefit students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board or Diploma in Computer Engineering from CTVET. Students who have appeared for 10+2 or equivalent examination can also apply.
