Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is an undergraduate degree course in computer applications. With the rapid growth of the IT industry in Nepal, the demand for computer professionals is increasing day by day. This increasing growth of the IT industry has created a lot of opportunities for computer graduates. Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is one of the popular courses among the students who want to make their career in the IT (Information Technology) field. The duration of the course is 4 years and is divided into 8 semesters. It comprises the subjects like database, networking, data structure, core programming languages like 'C' and 'java'. This course provides a lot of opportunities to the students who are interested in the computer field and wants to work in the IT sector as a programmer or software developer.
Objective
The objective of the BCA program at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tribhuvan University is to produce high-quality computer application users and developers.
Eligibility for Admission
The candidate applying for the BCA program must have:
- Successfully completed twelve-year schooling or equivalent from any University, Board, or Institution Srecognized by Tribhuvan University.
- Secured a minimum of second division (45%) or minimum C grade in all subjects in the twelve-year schooling or equivalent. Secured minimum CGPA 2.0.
