35th Anniversary of Paschimanchal Campus Celebrated

The 35th annual program of the Pashchimanchal Campus has been completed. Various programs were organized from December 10 to December 17 at the Campus, and the annual festival of the Campus focused on academic activities through various programs organized by different departments. An extensive blood donation program was also conducted, collecting 73 pints.

Similarly, the Electronics and Computer Department students of the Pashchimanchal Campus organized the Tech Prava program through i-CES. The Electrical Department organized the Technical Quiz Competition, and Poster Presentation Competition, the Mechanical and Automobile Engineering Department organized the Technical Fair 2022, and the Scientific Paper Writing competition was organized. Certificates were also distributed to the outstanding performers in these programs.

At the 25th annual closing ceremony of the Pashchimanchal Campus, Professor Dr. Shiv Lal Bhusal, the Rector of Tribhuvan University and the chief guest of the program, inaugurated the Journal of Engineering and Sciences and delivered a speech. The Dean of IoE, Professor Dr. Shashidhar Ram Joshi, praised the successful implementation of the new educational program at the Pashchimanchal Campus and expressed confidence in the participation of the Campus in future educational activities.

In the concluding program, the program president and the campus chief of the Pashchimanchal Campus, Nirmal Baral, presented the annual report of the Campus. Teachers and staff who had served at the Campus for over 20 years were honored by the chief guest, and former campus chiefs were given certificates of appreciation. The event was attended by the assistant dean of IoE, officials of the Pashchimanchal Campus, teachers, staff, and students.

Tech Parva

On the eve of the 35th anniversary of the Paschimanchal Campus, the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, in coordination with Innovative Computer Engineering Students' Society (i-CES) organized a technical event, "Tech Parva" to rate the everyday learning of students and explore more as technology is multifaceted.

This event, which ran continuously for three days on the 14th, 15th, and 16th of  Mangsir, was to provide tech enthusiasts a place to study and demonstrate their abilities. 

Four co-programsCode with Coffee, Datathon, Design Incubation, and Capture the Flag—along with their workshop- were held considering the participants' varied interests.


Technical Quiz Competition

On the auspicious occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the Paschimanchal Campus, the Department of Electrical Engineering, with its technical clubs (Empower and E-GEN) organized a Technical Quiz Contest for First and Second-year students. The Technical Quiz took place on 15th Mangsir, with 13 teams competing for the eight spots in the final round. The winner of the quiz was Team AC/DCs having team members Sulav Shrestha (BEL077), Sajesan Ghimire (BEL077), and Hemraj Neupane (BEL078).

Poster Presentation Competition

On the auspicious occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the Paschimanchal Campus, the Department of Electrical Engineering, with its technical clubs (Empower and E-GEN), organized a Poster Presentation Competition was organized for Third and Fourth-year students.

The Poster Presentation Competition organized on 16th Mangsir had various themes related to recent trends in electrical engineering. Five teams participated with different ideas and pieces of information. Among those participants, Abhinash Kshatri and Amrit Bhatta won THE BEST IDEA award, and their presentation was on recent trends in Electrical Engineering: Nano Grid.

Similarly, the winner of THE BEST POSTER award was Sumina Neupane, whose topic was Renewable Energy-Based Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles. Moreover, THE BEST PRESENTATION award was awarded to Abhinash Mandal and Baijnath Gupta for their presentation on Hydrogen Fuel as a Green Source of Energy.

Technical Fair

Intending to enhance the technical knowledge and workshop skills of the students through different events, the Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, Pashchimanchal Campus, Lamachaur, and the Society of Innovative Mechanical Engineering Student -SIMES organized a two-day Technical Fair 2022 on 1st and 2nd December 2022 on the occasion of 35th Campus Day. With the theme "Dream Develop and Design," the fair included Report Writing and Presentation Competition, Poster Presentation, STEM Challenge, Design and Modeling, and Workshop skill-based events.

The event started with an inaugural session in the Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering. The first and second days of the Technical Fair 2022 included three group events in which six groups performed. The students were assigned tasks involving brainstorming sessions, report writing and presentation, STEM Challenge, automobile, and workshop skill test. Based on the performance, the winner was declared.

The closing ceremony acknowledged the efforts of the participants, the organizing team, and all the volunteers involved in organizing the fair. A prize distribution ceremony for the event winners was included in the closing ceremony on 3rd December 2022.
