Successful Conclusion of Three-Day Research Paper Writing Workshop at Kathmandu Model College

The three-day research paper writing workshop, hosted by Kathmandu Model College in Bagbazar, has come to a successful close. With a total of 68 participants, including faculty members from 10 colleges and universities in Kathmandu, as well as researchers from diverse fields, the workshop proved to be an enriching experience for all involved.

The workshop, aimed at enhancing research paper writing skills, saw active participation from teaching faculty, as well as students pursuing advanced degrees such as M.Phil and Ph.D. Facilitators covered a wide range of topics, spanning 12 subjects, aiming to simplify complex concepts for the attendees.

The inauguration of the workshop coincided with SWorld Labour Day on May 01, featuring distinguished Member of Parliament Anjan Shakya as the chief guest. The event also saw the felicitation of Anjan Shakya and college advisor, alongside discussions on the importance of press freedom.

Over the course of the workshop, participants engaged in interactive sessions, with experts like Prof. Bhoj Raj Aryal, Assoc. Prof. Jitendra Dangol, Asst. Prof. Sunita Bhandari, and Prof. Achyut Gyawali leading discussions on various research-related topics.

The final day of the workshop coincided with World Press Freedom Day on May 05 and concluded with a series of sessions, emphasizing the practical application of the skills learned. Shankar Bhandari, Secretary of the University Grants Commission, distributed certificates to the participants, underlining the vital role of such workshops in educational development.

Expressing gratitude, the organizers highlighted the support received from the University Grants Commission in facilitating research projects based on the workshop's outcomes. Prof. Dr. Khadga KC, the newly appointed Rector of Tribhuvan University, praised the efforts of private colleges in promoting research-oriented programs, promising continued support from the university.

Teachers and researchers lauded the workshop's effectiveness in honing research paper writing skills, recognizing its contribution to academic enhancement. Rameshwar Acharya, President of Kathmandu Model College Assembly, and his team, including Assoc. Prof. Ajay Dhakal, Dr. Durga Jung KC, Assoc. Prof. Kishor Gautam, and Research Coordinator Prof. Dr. Shreedhar Gautam, expressed satisfaction with the workshop's success.
