CAN Federation along with LBEF introduced National ICT Scholarship 2075

Federation of Computer Association of Nepal In partnership with Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF) today signed a MOU for National ICT Scholarship 2075  at capital city, Kathmandu.

Total of 49 students will be awarded scholarship throughout the country; out of which 7 students will be selected from 7 states of Nepal. "The objective of the Nation Wide Scholarship scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of the community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education in the sector of ICT, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employ ability." said the Academic Director of Lord Buddha Education Foundation Mr. Prakash Kumar.

 In this scholarship 28 seats are allocated for Female Candidates and 21 seats are allocated for general category. Out of which 1 female from each state will get full scholarship and rest 42 students will get partial scholarships.

The scholarships will be awarded to study B.Sc.(Hons) in Information Technology at LBEF CAMPUS, Maitidevi ( Affiliated to  Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Malaysia.)

 Students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent from recognized board or Diploma in Computer Engineering from CTVET along with 50% in 10+2 and 50% marks in Mathematics at Grade 10th Level, can apply for this scholarship. Students who have recently appeared grade 12 exams can also apply.

Hemant Chaurasiya, President (CAN Federation) and Pankaj Jalan, Chairperson (LBEF) have signed the MoU. Accroding to which the total scholarship amount stands at eighteen million three hundred thirty six thousand.

CAN Federation will form central, state and district level committee to award this scholarships on the basis of grade 10 and 12 mark sheet, permanent residence, economic conditions and recommendations from the local authority.

Interested students can apply through CAN Federations website www.can.org.np or Lord Buddha Education Foundation website www.lbef.org before 25th July 2018. Students must submit pass port size photo, Birth Certificate/Citizenship, SEE and 10+2 mark sheet/entrance card of grade 12 and a recommendation letter from the local authority.
