Bhaktapur, June 29: Curriculum Development Centre has made some changes to National Curriculum Framework. As per the changes, students studying biology in Grade XI and XII can also choose mathematics.

According to deputy director of CDC Khubiram Adhikari, CDC has made some changes to the framework, but it has yet to be approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

On June 1, National Curriculum Development Board and Evaluation Council had approved National Curriculum Framework which had provided students with an option to choose between biology and mathematics.

After the framework was approved, stakeholders had protested the decision to make mathematics optional in Grade XI and XII.

“Now, students of biology can also study mathematics,” said Adhikari.
