The School of Arts of Kathmandu University was established in 1996. It is one of the six schools at the University established to impart education in liberal arts and media in order to contribute to the development of nation.

Education for enabling capability of individuals and promoting ideals of social and economic justice and well being for all persons and their environments

Promote the development of professional knowledge, critical thinking skills Develop communication, interpersonal, intervention, assessment and evaluation, and technical skills. Integrate socially economically, politically and culturally relevant components of human development.
