JOINTLY-FUNDED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS

 

The Open Society Foundation and Durham University (http://www.dur.ac.uk/) invite applications for scholarships at Durham University for the academic year 2012-2013. The scholarships are open to applicants from Afghanistan, Indonesia, Nepal and Palestine (Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel are also eligible to apply). The scholarships are for one-year taught postgraduate programmes in the following fields:

  • MSc in Risk and Environmental Hazards
  • MA in Risk and Security
  • MA in Risk, Health and Public Policy

Applicants should have outstanding academic qualifications and excellent English. Each scholarship provides one year’s tuition fees at Durham University, a stipend to cover living costs (for one person only), and return air travel from the scholar’s home country. Applicants are expected to be both nationals of and resident in Nepal. On completion of the scholarship, scholars will return to their home countries.
