Kathmandu, April 23 (RSS): Chief Minister of state-3, Dormani Poudel has said that we all should start change from ourselves.
Inaugurating the 'National Young Scientist Conference-2076' organised by Ministry of Industry, Forest and Environment and Research Centre for Applied Science and Technology of the Tribhuvan University at Khumaltar-based National Trust for Nature Conservation today, Chief Minister Poudel stressed the need of moving ahead by breaking traditional thinking for the development of science and technology.
He said that the state government has been formulating necessary laws and acts, saying the country has reached this stage after facing many challenges.
Pointing out that the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) has not been able to carry out the activities as per the expectation, Chief Minister Poudel stressed that the NAST would carry out result-oriented activities.
The NAST should link science and technology with production, he added. Similarly, Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and technology of the Federal government, Krishna Raj GC, said that physical infrastructure in state-level was necessary to carry out research in the Science and technology sector.
Likewise, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment of state-3, Arun Prasad Nepal, Chief Whip of Nepal Communist Party, Rameshwor Phunyal, state lawmaker Rama Ale Magar and Porf Dr Rameshwor Adhikari said that the role of young scientists was significant in country's development.
Young scientists across the nation have been participating in the two-day conference.
