Education institutions shut down in Dhading and across the country due to a strike called by the sister student unions of Chand, Baidhya and Baburam Bhattarai-led parties. The three parties have demanded withdrawal of price hike in petroleum products.
On June 2, Nepal Oil Corporation had increased fuel prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene and aviation turbine fuel.
Following the same, almost all private schools and colleges were closed while only Nilkantha Multiple Campus was running. Police suspect the campus got vandalized as the campus did not support the strike called by the three parties.
