KANCHANPUR: The Far-west University here has been facing difficulty in functioning as the Tribhuvan University (TU) has shown reluctance in handing over the Siddhanath Multiple Campus to it.

The Siddhanath Multiple Campus is TU-affiliated and the Far-west University wants to merge this institution and operate from its premises. Minister of State for Education, Leela Bhandari has said the works of the Far-west University have been affected as the TU refuses to hand over the Campus.

The Vice Chancellor, Rector and other officials of the Far-west University have already been appointed. But they have no offices to work from and are facing difficulty as the TU has refused to hand over the Campus to the Far-west University. The Far-west University had requested TU to hand over the Campus to it by amending the TU regulations. However, the TU has refused to do so.
