Tribhuvan University asked additional one billion rupees from govt. of Nepal

Tribhuvan University asked one more billion from government so that it can pay the increased salary of the teacher and staffs.

Officials of Tribhuvan University met with Prime Minister and Education Minister and requested to add additional one billion while allocating budget for Tribhuvan University.

Government of Nepal has increased the salary of the employee since last year Sharwan, but due to lack of sufficient budget Tribhuvan University is unable to pay to its staff and teachers.

Tribhuvan University Teachers Association has been protesting since three weeks demanding immediate release of increased salary among others and is staging protest and relay fast in front of the office of Vice Chancellor in Kirtipur.

Prem Raj Khania of TUTA said, they are ready to recall protest program as soon as teachers got their increased salary.

Tribhuvan University has around 15 thousands employee (including both administration staffs and teachers).
