Technical education govt's first priority, says Pushpa Kamal Dahal

Dhankuta, April 10. CPN-Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal today said the government was preparing a policy giving first priority to technical education in the country.

Laying the foundation stone of University of Agriculture and Forestry building in Pakhribas Municipality of Dhankuta, Dahal said the government's main priority was to set up educational institutions that produced technical manpower required for the country. 

He rejoiced over the establishment of a technical college that would cater to professional education for utilization and management of natural resources. 

Dahal reminded that consensus among different parties had enabled us to overcome political challenges in the past. He stressed the need to have political consensus and collaboration among all parties to usher economic prosperity in the country. “Despite political differences, parties will come together for economic prosperity of the country,” he added. 

Dahal argued that the goals of socialism was within reach for the left alliance. “We will work to usher in development and prosperity,” he stated. 

He said unification between the UML and the CPN-MC would take place on April 22 amidst a mass meet.
