Teachers' exams begin peacefully across Nepal

Teachers’ Service Commission examinations for selection of permanent teachers began across Nepal from May 23 in a peaceful environment. The exams being held after a gap of 17 years will end on May 25. Uday Raj Soti, Teacher Service commission chief, described the day’s exams as peaceful.

480,758 examinees have applied for 13,059 vacant positions of permanent teachers in various levels across the country. Of the examinees, 61,620 applicants appeared for 2,286 posts at the secondary level from 2 pm to 5 pm today. 168,184 examinees have applied for 2,793 vacant positions at the lower secondary level to be held tomorrow. Today, the exams were conducted in 1,847 exam centres. 

TSC had mobilised 1,847 exam superintendents, 3,694 assistant superintendents, 24,038 invigilators, 7,388 assistants and 19,470 security personnel for the day’s exams.
