Students of Physics demand examination on time

Satchit Ghimire/ Prajjwal Silwal: M.Sc. Physics Fourth Semester students of Tribhuvan University have submitted a memorandum to the Dean of Institute of Science and Technology with a demand that the examination should be held on time.

The joint group of students from Central Department of Physics, Patan Multiple Campus, St. Xavier's College, Golden Gate College and Amrit Science Campus have met the Dean Ram Prasad Khatiwada with a motive to grab the attention of Tribhuvan University to conduct the examination on time.

Coordinator of the students' welfare committee, Mr Aashish Paudel, said that the pressure was given to TU after the University failed to conduct the examination of the Fourth Semester on time. The M.Sc. Physics is a two years course with Four Semesters. Even though two years have already been completed the exam is still being delayed.

“There are enough time and proper basis for the conduction of exams but the academic semester is being lengthened which is a waste of the energetic time of the students," said Poudel, a student of St. Xavier's College. "Almost all examinations of the same batch in M.Sc. have already been conducted and remaining examination of M.Sc Chemistry is also set to be conducted before Dashain," he added.
Dean Khatiwada has praised the step taken by the students to make a demand for the examination to be conducted on time. He added that the demand of the students will be addressed. He informed that the examination form had opened on time with an aim to conduct the exam on time. He vowed to publish the examination routine within 3/4 days.
