Seven different student organisations including Nepal Students Union have submitted a memorandum to Foreign Affairs Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali regarding the road constructed by India encroaching Nepali territory.

Office-bearers of the seven student organisations, close to opposition parties, under leadership of NSU jointly submitted the memo, demanding the government to be serious and show its eagerness to take back the encroached land and for the respect of Nepal’s sovereignty.

General Secretary of the NSU, Baldev Timalsina shared that they asked the government to take Nepali territory back by holding high-level diplomatic talks with India after holding all-party, all-side meeting immediately to unite all people against the move of Indian government.

A press release jointly issued by NSU, All Nepal National Independent Student Union (Revolutionary), ANNISU (Fifth), All Nepal Students Union and Rastriya Prajatantra Student Union (Joint) reads that they are stunned from issue of road constructed by India to Mansarobar of China via Nepali territory—Lipulek.

Issuing a political map by India by incorporating Lipulek six months ago and constructing Indian highway via the territory was very condemnable, reads the statement.
