Student Enrollment Campaign making students able to go to school



Mahottari, Baisakh 16 (RSS): The effect of student recruitment campaign has made children of Dalit Community able to go to the school.

The children of the school-going age group in Gaushala Municipality-9, in the district, are currently regularly attending Nepal National School, which is two kilometers away.

During the school recruitment campaign, the children have gone to the school after the teachers went to the homes and started motivating the children to study.

According to local Suryadev Mahato, the small children had started to go to school by walking two kilometers. Mahato informed that earlier the children of the community used to work in the fields with their parents, but now they have started to go to school daily carrying bags with books and copies.

According to, Sunita Mahato, who went at the settlement as a part of the school enrollment campaign, the children of the settlement, immediately after seeing the team, hid inside the house. After the team talked with the parents, Mahato said that the children finally agreed to go to the school and study.

According to the Principal of the School, Devnarayan Mahato, 10 children of the community were admitted to the school in the next day of the enrollment campaign. Principal Mahato said that the children of the community were provided with copies, books and stationery items and in a few days, the new books will also be distributed.
