Janakpurdham, June 26 (RSS):The State 2 government today launched the Public Service Commission (PSC) exam preparation classes for women under its the 'educate daughters, save daughters campaign'. Under the first phase, 101 women have been included in the preparation classes.
Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut inaugurated the classes at Janakpur-based Rajarshi Janak Campus amidst a programme here today. As he said, preparation classes aimed to help ensure women's access to the civil service.
Stating that social transformation was the first priority of the State government, he said programmes like girls education insurance scheme, cycle distribution for girls and construction of girls-friendly toilets at community schools had been launched to support the 'educate daughters, save daughters campaign' and all these aimed to empower women.
"The State government has adopted a policy of guaranteeing 50 percent reservation for women in police and civil service," he said. The PSC exam preparations classes were launched in collaboration with the Kautilya Institute.
