School Leaving Certificate examinees can now check their personal details and request for corrections through a website of the Office of the Controller of Examinations.

OCE’s website will have information such as name of school, name of examinee, date of birth, major subjects and subjects attempted in the SLC examination, among others. “The new system has been put in place from this year to avoid errors and allow opportunity for correction while publishing SLC results,” said Examination Controller Bishnu Bahadur Dware. Errors in spellings of name and date of birth among others earlier used to result in ‘results withheld’, which would give examinees hassles.

The examinees, however, will be able to apply for corrections through the website only after the completion of the exams. SLC exams are set to begin from March 19.

Students can check the details before results are published and they can request for corrections if they find any mistaken in their personal details, including name, school name and date of birth among others.

OCE has also asked the markers to mention their names in the answer sheets they have graded.
