SLC Examination 2072 concluded today

School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exam of 2072 BS which began on March 31, ended today.

The exam of the general stream was held for eight days. It ended on April 8, while the exam of technical and vocational streams was held for 11 days and ended today.

The examinees of technical stream sat for various technical papers such as Floriculture and Nursery Management, Veterinary Laboratory Techniques, Industrial Installation and Maintenance, Object Oriented Programming, Estimating Costing and Supervision.

According to the Office of the Controller of Examination (OCE), a total of 615,553 examinees appeared for exams across the country.

Of the total, 452,881 examinees (227,535 girls and 225,346 boys) were from regular category while 159,417 examinees (97,036 girls and 62,358 boys) were from exempted category.

Similarly, a total of 3,255 examinees (1,273 girls and 1,982 boys) appeared from the technical and vocational stream.

These students got ‘Application Memo’ with their personal details today. Krishna Prasad Kapri, exam controller, OCE, today said that this year’s SLC exam ended formally today.

He said, “The exam was very peaceful and decent in comparison to previous years.” After completion of exam, the OCE will focus on the answer sheet correction process.

“We are very serious about examining the answer sheets in time and announcing the result as early as possible with fewer errors,” Kapri added. As per rules and regulations, the result should be published within 90 days of completion of the exam.

The examinees from technical and vocational stream will have one month ‘On-the-job-training’ (OJT) after completion of exam.

The respective schools where the students are studying their desired technical subjects will make arrangements for OJT. The marks of OJT are also added in their SLC marksheet.

This year, OCE deployed 72,893 human resources including 1,943 exam superintendents for the same number of exam centres across the country to maintain exam discipline and to take action against faulty students and teachers.

Similarly, it had deployed 2,978 assistant superintendents, 25,556 invigilators, 13,274 office assistants and 29,145 security persons for the SLC exam.
