Kathmandu, Nov 22- Hult Prize at IOE and NxtGen-a non-profit organization of Pulchowk Campus, held the SEMI-FINAL event for Hult Prize at IOE and “Entrepreneurship talk Series Level 7- Sustaining Your Business” on November 21st from 12 PM to 8 PM.
The organizers were back with the “Entrepreneurship Talk Series” which were also previously conducted. Reliving the essence, very well-known faces like Miss Nepal 2002 and Media Personality Malvika Subba, a Buddhist nun and singer Ani Choying Drolma, Media Personality and model Shree Pandey and Rojika Pokharel graced the event.
The chief speaker of “Entrepreneurship Talk Series Level 7- Sustaining Your Business” was Shawntel Nieto from the Philippines. She taught about sustaining the business and our services as well as her experiences as a participant in the Hult Prize.
After that, there was a panel discussion between Malvika Subba and Shree Pandey. As it was a world television day, most talks were about the media and television sector, it’s importance as well as the past and present scenario in terms of inclusivity. Then, Rojika Pokharel graced the event. They shared about their work, experiences, and taught about the idea of pitching, do’s and don’t as well.
Ani Choying Drolma, Er. Aditya Raj and Alpha Sennon graced the event as semi-final judges for Hult Prize at IOE 2020|21. They judged ideas, presentations, and pitching of all the Hult Prize at IOE 2021 participants. Among them, 20 teams were selected. They will be participating in Hult Prize at IOE 2021 finals happening on 5th December 2020. The winners of this on-campus competition can compete in Regional Competition. They can choose the countries they want to compete in. The regional competition winners will be selected for the accelerator program in which selected teams stay in London for free for few weeks.
At the end of the program, Ani-Choying gave her blessings to everyone. All participants were in awe and grateful with her presence.
In total, 20 teams were selected for finals. There will be wild-card entry as well for the team which was not selected and for newly registered teams.
