SEE students attempt to cheat through Facebook; invigilators found guilty of helping students

News Digest, RAJBIRAJ: The local administration in Saptari expelled an exam superintendent and detained eight students in the third day of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) on Wednesday. According to Chief District Officer Surendra Paudel, eight SEE students from Hanumannagar and Rayapur centres were arrested for cheating in the exam.

Their mathematics papers were also cancelled, he added. Similarly, authorities expelled exam superintendent of Kakijhau Secondary School centre Ramavatar Gupta for appointing four persons as office assistants to help students cheat in the exam. During the inspection of various exam centres, authorities found that the students and their guardians, in some places even the invigilators, had created a Facebook group chat to help the students cheat. In Siraha, the authority expelled two invigilators and cancelled the examination of 13 SEE students. (PR)
