The government has decided to cancel the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) 2076 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The exam was previously scheduled to be held in Chaitra 2076 and was put off until further notice.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology was recommended to recognize the internal assessment for grading Class 10. The ministry then took the proposal before the Council of Ministers, which decided to recognize internal assessment as an alternative for SEE exams. A press conference will be held on Thursday to provide more information on this matter.
The exam which scheduled to begin from Chaitra 6, 2076 was postponed a day before until further notice over fear of Corona Virus. The decision of the Council of Ministers has relieved 482,000 students across the country who were facing the uncertainty about the examination.
The SEE exam was started in Nepal in 1990 B.S. This is the first time in the history that the decision has been taken to cancel the examination.
