Schools running classes without permission

Dozens of private schools in Gaur Municipality of Rautahat have admitted students without obtaining the concerned authority's permission to operate classes. 

Sagarmatha Boarding School, New Hope Boarding School, Camps Boarding School and Gurukul Boarding School of the municipality have received the District Education Office's permission to operate classes for Grade I. The schools have, however, admitted students up to Grade VIII. 

Similarly, Bal Academy, Lucky Boarding School and New Goreto Boarding School are others in the list of private schools that have violated DEO's regulations. 

Galaxy Boarding School that just came into operation since this academic session has enrolled students up to Grade X. 

According to the Education Act (ninth amendment), a new school will receive permission to run classes only for Grade I. The school will be upgraded on a yearly basis. However, the authority concerned has sealed its lips regarding the conduct of such schools. 

Meanwhile, Gaur Municipality has issued a public notice after complaints about the schools increased. The municipality has also directed the concerned schools to stop cheating guardians. Mayor Ajaya Gupta said the schools will be penalised, while PABSON has demanded an inspection of these schools and stressed on dealing with the issue properly.
