Narayanpur, Dang, Jan 3 (RSS): The move of the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences (RAHS), Dang to increase health fees has drawn criticism from all quarters.

The protestors have also demanded that the RAHS should revoke the health fee increment. The RKHS increased patient admission fees from Rs 25 to Rs 100 per patient, and emergency admission fees from Rs 25 to Rs 200. Likewise, anything between Rs 7,000 to Rs 12,000 is charged for a delivery case.

People from various walks of life including the concerned committee of the RAHS, various local political parties, House of Representatives member Metmani Chaudhary and local people have joined the protest.
Issuing a statement today, the concerned committee said the RAHS's move to increase health fees has drawn its attention.

"The move of raising health fees and cutting facilities given to the staffs has created negative impacts on the RAHS itself. We want a correction in the move," read the statement issued by the committee coordinator Narayan Bhusal. Chief Minister of Province 5 Shankar Pokharel also urged the revocation of the RAHS's move to increase health fees.
