CPN-Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has taken guardianship of two children from an impoverished community and has enrolled them in school to support the government’s student enrollment campaign.
Local Raj Kumar Musahar’s son Arun, 9, and Suraj Majhi’s four-year-old son Patrus were admitted to Sajhapur Secondary School of Bharatpur metropolis under the guardianship of Dahal today.
Raj Kumar crushes stones to make a living whereas Suraj is a daily wage laborer. The parents of both children expressed happiness after Dahal took guardianship of their kids, while the kids themselves were also very excited about the prospect of going to school. “I want to become a great person by going to school and studying there,” said Arun, who, otherwise, used to spend his days watching his father crush stones.
On the occasion, Dahal also handed over schoolbags, books and other stationery items to the kids’ today.
Similarly, Home Minister RamBahadur Thapa also assumed the guardianship of three children and got them admitted to school today itself.
Shahanshila Chepang, Anjana BK and Arjun BK of Shaktikhor were admitted to the local Chaturmukhi Community School. He also provided books, schoolbags and uniforms to the kids on the occasion.
In line with the government campaign, Bharatpur metropolis Mayor Renu Dahal has also taken guardianship of a child and got her admitted to the school.
Anisa Chepang of Ward-29 of the metropolis was admitted to the local Kabilas Secondary School. She also handed over stationery items and uniform to the girl.
