The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has summoned employees and top officials of Purvanchal University to probe their involvement in various irregularities.
Registrar Raj Kumar Thakur, examination sub-committee member Prof Ranjana Sharma, assistant lecturer Ashwini Jha, administrative officer Sukesh Karna, senior officers Kishor Shrestha and Rina Hada and senior officer of medical faculty Giriraj Koirala, chief technician Devi Kattel, administration assistants Niroj Subedi and Surendra Prasad Neupane are included in the list.
CIAA had recently questioned university staffers, including the dean, in the exam answer sheets scandal, in which bundles of answer sheets were found from hotels.
As the university has been mired in multiple allegations in recent days, CIAA suspects high-level officials’ hand in irregularities.
