Purbanchal University College Association Nepal threatens to a stern stir

Purbanchal University College Association Nepal has threatened to hit the streets if the government fails to resolve the Purbanchal University problems within three days. It is the umbrella body of the colleges affiliated to Purbanchal University.

The association has organized a press meet in the Capital on Wednesday and accused the government of not taking serious steps in resolving the crisis faced by Purbanchal University.

The university has remained closed many times for the last nine months due to the protests by various local political leaders and students unions demanding resignation of all the top officials of that varsity.

Shambhu Dahal, chairman of the association said,  “despite our frequent requests to the chairman of the Interim Election Government and the Education Ministry, there has not been sincere efforts to resolve the problem. “Such an apathy left us with no alternative to a stern stir,”.
