Police hand over Rs 21,000 seized from gamblers to support students

Melamchi, Aug 23: Area Police Office, Melamchi has distributed cash seized from gamblers for support of the students with different abilities.  The police unit handed over Rs 21,205 to a school's management on Tuesday evening. The police had arrested four gamblers red – handed with the cash at Helambu rural municipality – 4 of Sindhupalchowk district, Inspector Navaraj Dhungana said.  At least 12 students enrolled at the Indreshwori Secondary School, Melamchi will receive the amount as support to fund their studies. The money was handed over to School's Accountant Mahendra Sapkota and School Management Committee member, Laxman Gautam.
