Plus Two college monitoring to begin

The High Level Higher Secondary School Monitoring Committee is set to monitor Plus Two colleges  in the Kathmandu Valley from tomorrow.

The 11-member panel was formed under Dilli Ram Rimal, director at the Department of Education, on July 10 to monitor fees, quality of education, facilities provided to students and teachers, infrastructure and managerial aspects in Plus Two colleges.

It has been divided into two groups for effective monitoring. In the first phase, the monitoring members will visit 15 colleges in the valley. They will visit 10 colleges in Pokhara, Butwal, Chitwan, Biratnagar and other districts in the second phase.

According to a committee member, Whitehouse, NASA, Golden Gate, Vishwo Niketan and Morgan are among the colleges selected for monitoring in the valley.

The panel has already distributed forms to particular Plus Two colleges to fill in their details.

It will visit the colleges and verify the details mentioned in the forms.

The committee members include regional director of Central Regional Directorate, representatives from Higher Secondary Education Board, Guardians’ Association of Nepal, Nepal National Guardians’ Association, Higher Secondary Schools’ Association Nepal, Higher Secondary School Teachers’ Association of Nepal and Umesh Shrestha as education expert.
