Kathmandu, March 24 (RSS): An agreement has been reached between the United Kingdom-based Oxford University and the Nepal Sanskrit University for collaboration in academic exchange, and carrying out a research on handwritten Sanskrit texts.

Seminars will be held each year, and exchange of views and opinions about the 3,000 years old Sanskrit language will take place, according to the five-year term agreement.

Four main points of the agreement and nine secondary points were signed between executive director of the Research Centre of the Sanskrit University Prof Dr Kashi Nath Neupane and a representative of the Research Centre of the Oxford University amid a programme on Friday in the Capital.

On the occasion, Vice Chancellor of the Sanskrit University Prof Dr Kul Prasad Koirala said the agreement has paved the way for spreading Vedic knowledge across the world.
