NSU University Teachers' Association gets new leadership

The fourth national convention of the Nepal Sanskrit University (NSU), University Teachers Association – a common platform of the university teachers of the NSU – concluded in Gaindakot of Nawalparsi by adopting Gaindakot declaration.

The two-day convention hosted by Kalika Sanskrit Vidhyapeeth unanimously endorsed the draft statute of the Association and also passed the economic and progress reports presented by its Treasurer and General Secretary, respectively.

The convention has elected 11-member central working committee of the NSU University Teachers’ Association and 12 general convention members for the Nepal University Teachers Association (NUTA).

Among the elected in the working committee are Shanti Krishna Adhikari (Chairperson), Hem Narayan lalkarna (Vice-chairperson), Yograj Sharma (Secretary) and Anandamani Rijal (Treasurer).

Similarly, other members in the committee include Mohan Prasad Pokharel, Damodar Gautam, Khageswor Gautam, Dilli Prasad Pandey, German Chaudhary and Prakash Tiwari.

Likewise, those elected as general convention members are Kashinath Poudel, Kishor Gautam, Keshab Koirala, Ganesh Ghimire, Janardan Upadhyay, Durga KC, Madhu Sudan Bhattarai, Laxmi Parajuli, Lalmani Pandey, Loknath Dahal and Sriram Baral.

The convention passed various resolutions concerning national issues, overall educational system of the country, Sanskrit education and issues relating professional rights and welfare.
